About the Role:

Provide assessment, counseling, education, and consultation for clients in an assigned service area.

Training & Education Requirements:

  • Position qualifications: Master’s level licensed professional, may be fully or provisionally licensed. (Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist [Doctorate Level], Psychological Associate, Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Nurse [Advanced Practice Only], Clinical Addiction Specialist, or Certified Clinical Supervisor. Minimum 2 years of experience in diagnosing, treating, and evaluating the effectiveness of treatment in the child and adolescent population. Minimum 2 years of experience in full-time, direct service experience to include face-to-face treatment and interventions as demonstrated by having provided service for a case load of individuals with a primary mental health or substance abuse disorder diagnosis.


Focus will provide the following training:

  • Agency Orientation, Client Rights, Code of Ethics, HIPAA Compliance, Blood borne Pathogens, Medicaid Fraud and Abuse, Technology and Equipment, De-Escalation Training, Documentation and IRIS system, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Introduction to System of Care, Person Centered Thinking, Crisis Response, Service Definition Elements. (Training provided varies depending on your work area.)



Job Duty Description:


  • Ensure assessments for all clients served. Provide clinical assessment, counseling, education, and consultation as indicated by referral information.


  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to internal clients and community referrals.


  • Provide treatment planning, discharge planning, and timely assessments and referrals to basic or enhanced services as deemed necessary.


  • Provide and conduct educational workshops for internal clients and community referrals as needed.


  • Maintain a caseload of 50 or more clients and provide between 24 and 34 billable events on a weekly basis.


  • Provide consultative assistance to assigned LEA (school) including providing training and/or therapy.


  • Participate in the rotation of clinical consultation for emergency on-call situations.


  • Assist with the design and support the implementation of treatment protocols employed in service delivery.


  • Ensure fidelity to service models and service quality. Identify and implement, as appropriate, Evidence Based Practice/Best Practice protocols.


  • Provide and ensure appropriate and timely documentation of all services, including completion of service notes within 24 hours of event.


  • Provide training as assigned by the clinical director and/or outpatient senior clinician.


  • Assist in the development of plans and protocols for new clinical and program staff training and supervision.


  • Ensure continuity of care through the development of strong collaborative relationships with other agencies, providers, and policy makers.


  • Collaborate with clinical director, medical director, quality improvement director, and key clinical staff to ensure that clinical expertise is available at all levels of organization.


  • Participate in quality improvement program including health and safety.


  • Display good communication and feedback within a team dynamic.


  • Professionalism in all areas of work, including client and co-worker relationships.


  • Other duties as assigned.
